- Operate Cloudflare as a managed service across a large estate — 86 zones, 41 of them Enterprise — with a guaranteed 15-minute support response, formal change management, and knowledge transfer to the internal team.
- Deploy Bot Management and API Shield across enterprise zones without disrupting production traffic.
- Reduce reliance on costly AWS network components (Transit Gateway) and optimize the data path between AWS and Cloudflare.
Our approach
- 1 Stood up a dedicated managed Cloudflare team with a defined 15-minute SLA response protocol, covering WAF, DDoS, redirects, rate limiting, and cache/configuration rules across all zones.

- 3 Rolled out Bot Management and API Shield in phases — starting in non-critical environments with canary releases and real-time monitoring — then extended to all enterprise zones once validated.
- 4 Audited the AWS environment and implemented Cloudflare Tunnel to bypass the public internet, reducing dependence on AWS Transit Gateway and optimizing transit cost.
